Robert Prokop, LAc is a licensed acupuncturist and the founder of Wind Gate Wellness. He has over ten years of education in the field of integrative health, and six years of clinical experience running his solo practice. Robert studied Buddhist psychology, nutrition, and western herbal medicine at Naropa University before earning a master’s in acupuncture from Maryland University of Integrative Health (MUIH,) where he focused on acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Asian bodywork.
Robert has extensive training and clinical experience in Chinese herbal medicine, Eastern bodywork, sports medicine acupuncture, and facial rejuvenation acupuncture. He also has specialty training in integrative gastroenterology, gynecology, endocrinology, external medicine, and oncology.
While starting Wind Gate Wellness, Robert worked as an acu-detox specialist with multiple rehab facilities around Baltimore, was the office manager for a community acupuncture clinic, and helped to design acupuncture services for the spas of local Hotels and a Country Club.
Robert is passionate about the impact of education on wellness goals. Through community workshops in Baltimore and the DC metro area, he shares knowledge and skills to empower individuals to take charge of their own health, thereby creating positive change in their lives and the lives of others.
