Robert Prokop, LAc is a licensed acupuncturist and the founder of Wind Gate Wellness, LLC.
He was drawn to integrative and herbal medicine through activities like camping, hiking, climbing, cycling and canoeing. This intimate connection with the natural world inspires his style in the treatment room, where he offer patients the opportunity to rediscover their bodies’ own inner wisdom in the way that nature intended.
Robert earned a master’s degree in acupuncture from Maryland University of Integrative Health (MUIH) in Laurel, Maryland, where he focused on Five Element Acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Asian bodywork. While at MUIH, he worked as a clinical intern at the Natural Care Center. Robert also has extensive training and clinical experience in Chinese herbal medicine, Eastern bodywork, sports medicine acupuncture, and facial rejuvenation acupuncture.
He also attended Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado, where he majored in contemplative psychology.
Robert is passionate about the impact of education on wellness goals. Through community workshops in Baltimore and the DC metro area, he shares knowledge and skills to empower individuals to take charge of their own health, thereby creating positive change in their lives and—through a ripple effect—the lives of others.
